Conventional Radiotherapy

Conventional Radiotherapy is the most basic form of radiation therapy planning. The radiotherapy treatment is given after calculating the physical dose required. High-energy X-rays are used to treat cancer by killing cancer cells, while affecting or damaging normal cells minimally. This form of treatment is usually provided hand in hand with chemotherapy to set up cancer cells to increase their vulnerability to damage from radiation.
