Excess sugar can harm your liver

KDAH

Fructose, a basic sugar found in fruits and vegetables like corn, is used to sweeten most packaged foods, snacks, and drinks. It is converted to fat by your liver. Tiny drops of fat build up in your liver if you consume fructose on a daily basis. This may lead to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) which over time damages your liver due to the swelling and scarring. Limit your sugar intake.
