Involved in anaesthesia management of a breathless patient with uterine fibroid weighing 9 kg, on 23/06/10. The patient was operated in a 45o propped up position as the tumour along with displaced stomach and intestines were pressing hard on the diaphragm reducing vital capacity of the lungs and compromising respiration. The giant tumour which was causing threat to the patient’s life was removed successfully in a surgery lasting 4 hours. Times of India took notice of this and the report was published in TOI, 1/7/10 and again in Times of Navi Mumbai on 3/07/10.

RH EXPERIENCE

Working as Senior Anaesthesiologist since last 11/2 years at RH. Managing complex supra-major surgeries and High risk cases. Part of Renal Transplant Team of RH. Conducted very first Renal Transplant Recepient Sx in RH successfully. Have successfully managed High Risk Obstetric cases, Bariatric Surgeries with BMI more than 60, complex neurosurgical / urology / oncosurgery cases and Neonatal surgeries.

Presented paper titled “Comparative study of ondansetron and lignocaine to reduce pain of IV propofol” in National critical care conference, CRITICARE 2007, KOCHI.
